Benicia Community Seed Library
The Benicia Community Seed Library is a free, self-service program at the Benicia Public Library where community members can borrow and return seeds. The goal is to encourage gardening, promote biodiversity, and foster a culture of sharing by allowing people to “borrow” seeds to plant, and then donate seeds from their harvest back to the library for others to use. It is located in a cabinet near the reference desk and is open to anyone, though library card holders are the primary users.
