CalWORKs
CalWORKs (California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids) is a state and federally funded program that provides temporary financial assistance, along with other services, to eligible low-income families with children. The program aims to help families with basic needs, and participants are required to meet work or training requirements to receive assistance. Benefits can include cash aid, CalFresh (food stamps), Medi-Cal (health insurance), and help with childcare, housing, and job training.
